Johannas Isaac Klein was born in Germany. He came to the United states before 1730 and settled in Montgomery, County, Pennsylvania.
His son Johann Jacob Klein was born in York County, Pennsylania and moved to Berks County, Pennsylvania. His son Jacob Kline moved to Union County, Pennsylvania.
Six Kline brothers all entered the Civil War in 1861. Jim's great-grandfather moved to Cass County, Minnesota.
