The Craigs were farmers, settling in Maine early in the 1700's from Cumberland, England. Freeman moved to Lima Township in Sheboygan County, Wisconsin. Ardell, a blacksmith, resided in Longville, Cass County, Minnesota. The Delano line descends from the voyages of the 1620 Mayflower and the 1621 Fortune. Barzillai Delano was light keeper at Portland Head Light in Maine from 1796 to 1820. Jim's ancestry line contains soldiers serving during the Vietnam Nam War, World War II, the Civil War, the War of 1812, and the Revolutionary War.
