| This egret was painted on oil cloth by Carolyn Johnson Gardiner (Kathie's second Great-grandmother) sometime after she arrived in Canada from Ireland. She did not start painting until her later years. It was rolled up for many, many years in the dresser of Alice Burnett Gardiner Armstrong (Kathie's Great-grandmother) which caused many cracks in the painting. It was unrolled and framed around 1980 by Jim. | ||||
